The park spans over 2,100 acres and is perched on top of Monte Sano Mountain. This location has been attracting visitors since the early 20th century. The park boasts over 20 miles of scenic trails for hiking and mountain biking, catering to different skill levels. The park is also steeped in history, with ties to the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) of the 1930s, whose handiwork is still visible in the stone lodges and cabins.
